A Reintroduction

Reading Time: 2 minutes

A lot has changed around here, and here’s hoping it’s for the better.

Let me start with an apology. A few weeks ago —  if you were subscribed to my blog — you likely received a notification that there were 8 new blog posts published simultaneously, and they were all lorem ipsum posts.

True to form, I was DIYing the upgrades to my website and didn’t get the privacy screen working quite right. Web-developer I am not. I see now why people get degrees in this stuff.

Anyway, I apologize for the clutter in your inbox! Clutter is such a terrible thing to do to people you love, and I do love you all!

So, what brought on this change? In a nutshell: I finally decided to take myself seriously.

For many (many) years I’ve been designing, decorating and organizing living spaces for my family and friends just for fun. Everything I know thus far has been self taught, and so I never allowed myself to be called a professional. It was too heavy of a word.

But then strangers became interested in my work and in my storytelling (and insisted on paying me for my services) and I thought I just might have something going on here.

Now you (loyal followers) all know that my blog used to be about stuff. It was just a creative way for me to record memories of these three hilarious humans and one lazy fish I share a home with.

Well, now that I have a purpose, my blog is still going to be about stuff.

I’m not sure what you were expecting; I’m a very un-serious person.

The difference is that all the stuff I write about will have common themes: family life, decor, DIYs, and travel.

I’ll be highlighting some of my client work; talking more about the projects I get into at home; sharing family moments; and escaping it all every few months by visiting places with spicy food, cheap drinks and gorgeous views.

It is my hope that in sharing pieces of my life I will inspire you to live yours to the absolute fullest!

As always, have fun!
