Outtake from a recent playdate with my hubby 😆 Outtake from a recent playdate with my hubby 😆

It might just be US, but we usually have some sort of irrational argument within a week of me returning from a solo trip.

It took a while to realize that we both really like our routines and each other's company. Travel is a major disruptor and has us in our feelings.

So I started getting intentional about how we transition back to "we time" from "me time." Playdates are a must for us.

I've put my best ideas up on the blog (casadiemlife.com).

Now tell me, are we the only ones with this issue? 🫣

I haven't finished posting my @visitutah content b I haven't finished posting my @visitutah content because I'm already on another trip 🫣

I blame my @monostravel carry-on. It's just too easy to pack, carry, clean, unpack and repeat.

This is not an ad. I'm not affiliated with them in any way; I just really love this suitcase and can't wait to complete the set!

That said, I, Queen Of The Latergram, do solemnly swear to finish posting my Utah content. And my New York Content. And my Los Cabos content. And my Puerto Rico content. And... 🫣😂

have dreamt of going to the Bonneville Salt Flats have dreamt of going to the Bonneville Salt Flats for ages, and it finally happened thanks to @sheswanderful

I’ll share the pictures in 1 or 2 decades when I finally get around to editing 🫣
Just know that the shots were worth the fall!

If you’re planning a visit to the salt flats, here are my top tips:

- Dress in layers! It was surprisingly cold when I was there (early spring) and I hear it can get blazing hot in the summer.
- Don’t forget your sunglasses. All that light reflecting off miles of pure white salt can cause some eye strain.
- Waterproof shoes are a must in the spring. It looks dry but that moisture will get in where it can fit in!
- This spot is incredibly popular in the summer, so try to visit at any other time of year to avoid an Instagram-vs-Reality moment.
- It’s about a 1.5 hours drive west of Salt Lake City along I-80. There’s no public transport directly to the flats, so driving is your best bet.

*BONUS* 🤠 If you love the way your partner looks from the back, this is a great place to start a fight. It’s so flat, you can watch them walk away for days! Just make sure to bring snacks so they have a reason to come back.

I always thought my first visit to Utah would be t I always thought my first visit to Utah would be to one of the national parks, but I’m glad it was Salt Lake City.

It’s been a perfect balance of clean city and gritty adventure.

I started my visit with a walking tour of the city (as one does), and learned so many cool things about SLC history.

I even spotted one or two haunted buildings, saw cherry blossoms in bloom, and ate a taco salad the size of my head.

*insert happy taco dance*

If I had to list my 10 favorite things, dogs and l If I had to list my 10 favorite things, dogs and lattes would take the top spots. So I HAD to make a stop at @thehugocoffee at the SLC airport as soon as I landed.

Hugo Coffee Roasters is a woman-owned coffee shop supporting small animal rescues and sanctuaries nationwide.

Y’all, seriously, you drink a coffee, you save an animal. Give me ALL the coffee!

If you’re wondering what to order, I strongly recommend the honey lavender iced latte. I should have bought a large.
